The earliest pages of this online magazine stated that now, more than ever, it was becoming important to start understanding our distant past.

This article will attempt to demonstrate the following:

1. That there is a systematic distortion of history which helps cover-up the truth about UFOs and extraterrestrial visitation currently.

2. That the Christian Church has actively censored our history, covered up evidence relating to our past, and promoted the fallacy that extraterrestrials are either "demons" or the products or manifestations of the deranged minds of evil witches.

3. That the Christian Church burned or concealed books, maps and documents that would prove we have been visited by extraterrestrials. for at least the past 12,000 years, and probably longer.

4. That the genetic origins of human intelligence are probably extraterrestrial.

In order to argue this case it will be necessary to look at the evidence in an orderly fashion, beginning with the Christian Church and going back to the time of Christ Himself. This material might seem tedious and non-controversial to some readers. What should be remembered however is that had you been caught reading stuff like this in the 16th Century you would have been tortured and burned at the stake for heresy!

The Teachings of Jesus Hijacked.

On the road to Damascus, a Pharisee who possessed Roman citizenship by the name of Saul was suddenly blinded by the light of God and converted to Christianity. At least this is the account Saul gave when he returned to Jerusalem and had to give a reason for his conversion from being a persecutor of the Christians to a devout apostle.

Changing his name to Paul he was able to convince the Disciples, then being led by James, to make a huge compromise within the rules of their sect to allow pagans, like the Romans (Gentiles), to become members of the new faith. Thus armed he went eventually to Rome to spread his version of the gospel.

And it was thus that a Roman, who had never encountered Christ, became the founder of a Christian Church which grew to dominate the collective intellect and attitudes of much of the civilised world.

Most people reading this will be familiar with what has been said so far. But before going on to show how this initial compromise became the seed of a greater evolution of compromise and adaptation by the Church and how it grew into a great conspiracy, it is worth noting one or two things about the age in which Christ lived and some questions surrounding his origins.

The Holy Land during the Roman occupation was not the simple, polarised society of Jews oppressed by their Roman overlords depicted in Hollywood movies. There was in fact a great deal of collaboration and where this was not possible in the general population, the Romans were skilful in keeping under control certain sectors, which if not entirely happy about the occupation were restricted to only passive resistance. Serious outbreaks of armed rebellion were rare and swiftly put down.

In religious terms, the Holy Land at that time was a hotbed of schisms, cults, sects. The religion of Zoroastrianism, a possible originator of Gnosticism was an import from ancient Persia where many of the ancestors of the Jews were thought to have been held in slavery. Added to this, many ordinary Jews were highly dissatisfied with their own temple priests who were themselves polarised in their religious beliefs.

Important also is that during the earlier Greek occupation of Palestine, a Gnostic sect known as the Essenes in Galilee had separated themselves from the Jewish temple and migrated to Qumran, close to the shores of the Dead Sea. Their legacy to the world was discovered in caves there in 1947 - the Dead Sea Scrolls. A sect of their descendants in Galilee known as the Zealot Essenes put up armed resistance against the Romans under the leadership of Judas of Gamala in 6 AD. The revolt failed, Judas was killed and thousands of his followers were crucified.

Whilst Paul's origins and religious development are fairly well documented, those of Jesus are not. Paul (or Saul) was the son of a Jew who also had Roman Citizenship. Born in Tarsus in AD 10 he was groomed for the Rabbinate and grew up under the teachings of the Pharisees (Greek for separated ones). The Pharisees, like their Essene ancestors had separated themselves from the Temple and took the middle ground between the Zealots and the openly political allegiance by the Sadducees with the Romans. The Pharisees encouraged passive resistance to the Romans while conversely rejecting much of the religious conventions of the Essenes and Saducees in favour of a much more cosmopolitan approach based on the Hellenistic traditions of the area. It is this culture of compromise between conflicting societies, together with the dual citizenship he inherited from his father that tells us so much about what sort of person Paul was - to say that he was adaptable would be an understatement.

Jesus Christ's origins, whilst graphically described in the Gospels are not so well documented elsewhere. There is a convincing argument based on the belief systems he preached that he did not originate in Galilee at all but in Qumran. There is also a fundamental Gnosticism about his teachings and there are similarities between his sayings and those found in the Dead Sea scrolls.

Gnostics believed in the need for an individual to find Gnosis (spiritual harmony with God/receipt of the divine spark) during their lifetime. It was only in this way that an individual soul could achieve resurrection of the spirit after physical death in order to enter the divine cosmos. (Roman Catholic historians define this spiritual harmony as "esoteric knowledge" and therefore heresy).

Paul's later interpretation of the Resurrection was that Christ had risen physically from the dead. The Gnostic belief however was that based on the fact Christ had achieved Gnosis through his teachings and insights, his resurrection was purely spiritual.

After hundreds of years of suppression, arguments about the death of Jesus have re-emerged in modern times. Documentation of his death and burial are scant. Based on all evidence there are three possibilities.

1. Jesus died on the cross, was buried and stayed dead. His body was moved or stolen within three days. His body was only allowed to be removed from the scaffold because of bribes paid by Joseph of Aramethia.

2. Jesus survived his ordeal on the cross because of the bribes paid by Joseph of Aramethia.

3. Jesus died on the cross, was buried and physically resurrected within three days of his death.

The Conspiracy Evolves.

For the purposes of this article the truth of whether or not a physical resurrection took place is unimportant. What is important is the polarised doctrines which emerged as a result of this controversy in later years.

Paul went to Rome during his extensive travels and preached the physical resurrection. He also used the Jerusalem Compromise as his authority to convert Gentiles to the faith. He was probably executed by the Romans circa 67 AD but not before establishing extensive communications through the use of letters with the infant church communities. Over a third of the modern New Testament is made up of his material or materials relating to him.

It was as a result of his universal approach and his recognition of the potential power of monotheism that the "Roman" church survived those early days. Survival and expansion later was the result of fierce protection of the basic doctrine of physical resurrection which Paul bequeathed to the world.

During the second and third centuries, the Church of Rome began its battle against the Gnostics of Palestine. The Gnostic belief that Christ was an important figure, a Divine Being filled with divine knowledge and therefore able to communicate with the Divine Being, the God of the Cosmos, became heresy in the eyes of Rome. And with the conversion of the Roman emperor, Constantine, to Christianity beginning the union of Church and state, the Church began centuries of oppression, persecution and murder of any who were opposed to their doctrines.

The Dogma of the "Infallible"

The evolution of the Christian Church is a massive topic beyond the scope of this article, but there are salient points that can be made to chart the logic of the case for "cover-up" by the Church. Roman Catholicism as it became known was an evolving product of huge and complex political turmoil in Europe with the Church firmly interwoven into the politics of state and royalty. The Protestant movement objected to the Church's pontification on the basis of "tradition as well as the words of the scriptures" in favour of a "scriptures only" approach. Countering this argument, the Roman Catholic Church pointed out that the Church had existed before the scriptures. Indeed it had compiled and verified the Scriptures as being the words of God. The emerging Protestant Churches were mere deviations from the Church of Rome on one aspect only - tradition (the case for the virgin birth is a "tradition" rather than scriptural doctrine).

But what has this got to do with "cover-up"? An understanding of the roots of the Church and its links and union with the state - wherever the Church existed - is of extreme importance in the understanding of how the cover-up was begun. That the concepts of Church and State became interdependant is historical fact.

The Church of Rome proclaimed itself infallible. It also proclaimed itself the supreme arbiter in matters of law, science and philosophy. Its pronouncement in favour of Aristotlean science over the science of Plato is of supreme importance. Aristotle described the world as being perfect and in the centre of a perfect universe.

Plato on the other hand described the world as spinning upon its own axis, in orbit around the sun. He also fairly accurately plotted the orbits of the planets and surmised that the stars were suns like our own. Importantly, he argued that the universe was not perfect, but unstable, and it, like the Earth was prone to disaster and upheaval from time to time.

The Church proclaimed Aristotle's theory as a dogmatic fact. Plato's was heresy.

Reasons to Burn

But there were problems with the "perfect world" dogma. As the influence of the Church spread and it began to dominate and develop educational systems, its scholars and researchers gained access to and control over the repositories of writings and documents within its sphere of influence. When maps were discovered showing lands hitherto beyond the known ends of the world, the Church faced a dichotomy. If the lands existed then they were beyond the "boiling seas" and were therefore beyond the reach of the "infallible" Church. They were therefore heresy and should be burned or hidden in secret libraries for further study. Any books or documents which contravened the New Testament or the Christianised Old Testament suffered similar fate. This included works of historical records (described by the Church as Pagan) which contravened Biblical and Traditional dogma.

A prime example of this is the Book of Enoch - a huge work, part of which rightfully belongs in the book of Genesis. It is also a book which is of great interest to researchers into the UFO phenomenon.

In Genesis Chapter 6, vs 4, there is a tantalising glimpse of prehistory: "The Nephilim were on the Earth in those days-and also afterward-when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown." Genesis then leaps forward without further explanation into how God was displeased with man's wickedness and decided to wipe man from the face of the Earth.

The missing (censored) text is contained within the Book of Enoch. It should be noted that no known manuscripts in the original Hebrew language are known to have survived. It is thought to have originated in Galilee (where the Essenes lived before departing for Qumran). However, despite the efforts of the Pharisees and the later Church of Rome, who through Paul shared much in common in terms of Old Testament doctrine, Ethiopian translations, themselves believed to have been translated from Greek translations of the original Hebrew or Aramaic, survived. The Second book of Enoch survived only in a Slavonic version, again originated from a Greek version.

These were rediscovered, translated into English and published in 1917. Enoch gives us a startling account of man's encounters with the Sons of God prior to the great deluge. According to Enoch, the Sons of God had relations with the daughters of men. The children resulting from these unions had white hair, glowing eyes, and faces such that could light up a room. The sons of God taught men how to make weapons, how to birth a child through a cut in the abdomen; how to mix herbs for medicine; the blows of the womb (abortion). Enoch was taken up into the heavens as an intermediary for the sons of God, to plead on their behalf. There he was shown how the stars are numbered in their orbits, etc.

These then were the Nephilim (or Giants). But they were not giants of stature but of intellect and technology. Other references to them in Enoch describe them as angels - and mortal - who had need of food and water as well as a fondness for sex with human women. They are also refered to as the Watchers. Enoch himself ascended into heaven in a vehicle of crystal surrounded by fire to live amongst the Sons of God or angels.

Small wonder it was taken out of the Bible! Before going on and getting away from biblical times, it is worth noting that I Enoch is believed by scholars to have Iranian and Egyptian elements. Sumerian and Egyptian civilisations are themselves believed by many scholars to be the common remnants of a much older civilisation, probably Indo Aryan in origin, but to date unknown.

When the scholars of the Church and their Jesuit stormtroopers came upon fragments of evidence of a highly technological civilisation which existed before the great flood, they did one thing with it - covered it up. Also of vast importance is the fact that the Dead Sea Scrolls when discovered in 1947 were immediately handed over to the Jesuit order of the Roman Catholic Church and jealously guarded by them until finally handed over to the Israelis - whether or not they handed over all of the material is questionable and many of the documents still remain unpublished.

But it is the Indo-Aryan connection we must now turn to. It is here that the dogma of the Church and its censorship has inflicted its greatest damage upon our understanding of our past. And it is in India that we will find the most convincing evidence that the current state of human technological advancement is primitive compared to the achievement of a past age of civilisation which possessed nuclear weapons, aircraft, stealth technology, space travel - and membership within an extraterrestrial community.
